Outreach and Advocacy Ministry at Christ Our Hope

Outreach and advocacy ministry coupled with vibrant celebrations of liturgy, are truly the cornerstone of our community at Christ Our Hope.  Our efforts in this ministry are overseen by the Outreach and Advocacy Committee.  This committee is a diverse group of parishioners whose goal is to help our parish community live out our mission to be a beacon of light in downtown Seattle.  We are passionate about the social mission of the church and are committed to answering Pope Francis' call to be a people of mercy, especially to those most marginalized in our society and world.

Thank you.

“With the recent donation drive at Christ Our Hope Women’s Wellness Center was able to draw in enough donations to secure a month’s worth of supplies and much more with supplies we were running low on for example rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and depends. With this savings WWC was able to focus on move-in baskets for clients securing housing which is something we have not been able to focus on in recent months due to funding. With the help of our regular volunteer and registered nurse she has done a wonderful job of communicating our updated needs as time goes on because our needs change weekly. Currently Christ Our Hope is still our biggest funding source and donation support outside of the City of Seattle, we appreciate all the parishioners support and commitment to the women here at WWC.”

-Women's Wellness Center Staff

Thanks to your ongoing support, in 2016 WWC met the needs of 894 unduplicated homeless women, assessed 43 women for housing and helped 19 women reach their housing needs.
