A priest appointed by the Archbishop and delegated as the leader of a particular parish entrusted to him. The pastor’s role, expressed in its threefold mission of teaching, governing and sanctifying (CIC, c. 519), empowers the laity for their mission as light and leaven in the world.
Fr. Paul hails from Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. He was ordained a Catholic Priest on Dec. 21, 1967 at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and born some time before that. His greatest joy as a priest is celebrating Eucharist and the sacraments with parishioners though he is always inspired by scripture. One of his favorite passages is Ephesians 1:16 “I have never stopped thanking God for you and recommending you in my prayers.” The greatest challenge he faces is simply having the time to do everything he considers himself responsible for! Despite the faith, hope and love he pours into the Catholic community of Western Washington, Fr. Paul finds the time to enjoy eating good food and drinking good wine; visiting family, friends and parishioners; and walking around downtown Seattle, the city he loves.
Fr. Paul served as Pastor at Christ Our Hope from August 28, 2010 to July 4, 2018 after which he was appointed a Senior Priest serving the Archdiocese as a Parish Priest in Skagit Valley.
