A priest appointed by the Archbishop to provide priestly ministry in a particular parish in collaboration with the pastor or pastoral coordinator. The term of office for Parish Priest in the Archdiocese of Seattle is generally one to three years.
Fr. Bryan Hersey is a native of Puyallup and did seminarian formation in Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1998. He served as Pastor at Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Everett from 2007-2018. Prior to that he served as Pastor at St. Philomena in Des Moines, and was Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph in Vancouver and St. Joseph in Ferndale. He also served the past year as a weekend priest at Mary Queen of Peace in Sammamish and St. Joseph in Issaquah.
Fr. Bryan is Chaplain of the First Hill Hospital Ministry in Seattle and serves as Parish Priest, providing the sacramental needs of Christ Our Hope on weekends and selected weekdays. He began his tenure at Christ Our Hope on July 1, 2019.
Fr. Bryan is an accomplished woodworker. He enjoys spending his free time woodworking, reading, and enjoying life with close friends and beloved dog Beau. He lives in downtown Seattle.
