Christ Our Hope Catholic Church in Downtown Seattle is a beacon of light where all are welcome to grow in Faith, Hope and Love through vibrant celebrations of liturgy; programs of faith formation, evangelization & compassionate outreach; and responsible stewardship. Committment to Safe Environment

We are honored to be uniquely situated in the shared space of the Josephinum in downtown Seattle. We are a diverse people of God committed to providing a beacon of light where all are welcome to grow, including vulnerable individuals. As a reflection of our mission we are committed to the Archdiocese of Seattle's Safe Environment Program, which staff are certified in, as well as other policies listed below. Accountability and Transparency

In light of the August 2018 official statements shared by Pope Francis, Cardinal DiNardoArchbishop Sartain and Father Heric concerning clergy abuse, including the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report, we reaffirm our committment at Christ Our Hope to ensure the safety and protection of all vulnerable persons. Please visit our Committment to Safe Environment for more information including actions the Archdiocese of Seattle has taken since the 1980's to remain constantly vigilant.

To report any suspicion of abuse by any Church personnel, please contact local law enforcement. In addition, anyone who has knowledge of sexual abuse or misconduct by a member of the clergy, an employee or volunteer of the Archdiocese of Seattle is urged to call the archdiocesan hotline at 1-800-446-7762.

Staff at Christ Our Hope will NEVER call or email you for a request for funds or aid - urgent or otherwise. Please do not wire money or send personal checks or electronic gift cards in response what may appear to be a Christ Our Hope request. Please stay vigilent and if you ever receive an email that appears suspicious, do not respond. Do check the email domain and make sure all emails come from @christourhopeseattle.org. A complete list of Parish Leadership is on our Contacts page. Who is a vulnerable individual?

  • A minor under the age of 18
  • Any person over 60 who is unable to care for him or herself
  • Certain individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Anyone over 18 who has a legal guardian
  • Individuals receiving in-home care through licensed health, hospice or home health care agency or from an aide hired on their own
